Her academic upbringing in post-Soviet Russia and her interest in emotional behavior have led her to study clinical psychology. This would lay the foundation for which she would later embark on her transformation into photography.
It became a frame by which she is not limited, and as she quotes Sebastião: “If you’re young and have the time, go and study. Study anthropology, sociology, economy, geopolitics. Study so that you’re actually able to understand what you are photographing”.
